Welcome to TravelSampler.world, our window on the world that lets you sample some of the places you’d rather be. TravelSampler.world is built on our curiosity about the world and is a sample of the mosaic of people and experiences that give travel colour and life. We hope it inspires you, our fellow travellers, as you explore the world.
Here on TravelSampler.world you’ll find some of our favourite places and experiences, around the globe. We’ve jotted down our thoughts and snapped original photos in a sample of the views, buildings, objects and people that have caught our interest. We are enthusiastic amateurs with a genuine and personal voice. You won’t find our content in travel brochures trying to sell you a package tour, and we don’t use AI for our words or images. These are authentic travel experiences; the images and copy are all our own (except book covers and traveller contributions, or unless we tell you otherwise).
TravelSampler.world is an escape, a place to dream about your next destination. It’s not meant to be everything there is to know about a destination, it’s not a review or recommendation site. Think of it more like a journal, a place to revisit the joy of discovery as you travelled – or plan to travel. These are personal reflections of the places in which we have found ourselves.

One of the great joys of travelling is time to dream, to stare out a window, to imagine where your journey will take you, or to reflect on your latest adventure. Books sometimes take you there – you’ll find some we’ve read at the link below. And on our ‘wish list’ just a few of the destinations we’re dreaming about.

Send us a short (100 words) email, and a high-quality photo. Tell us your first name, the country you live in, and why the experience (or book) was special to you, how it connected you to a destination. TravelSampler.world is not a review site, its more about how you felt, what thoughts the book set in that place prompted, what inspired you.
You’ll understand we can’t publish all the submissions we receive, so to make sure yours is included on Travelsampler.world think about what other travellers might like to experience too. Submissions may be edited for length, and for privacy purposes will be attributed to the author’s first name and country only.

TravelSampler.world reaches out to like-minded travellers who have an eye to travelling well while exploring both ‘bucket-list’ destinations, and locations somewhere off the beaten track. We’re independent, curious and interested in the world. Please know that we don’t work for free or because ‘it’s good for our brand’, we don’t ‘promote’ unrelated or untested content, and the only guest contributions we accept are short, verified submissions from fellow travellers. We only talk about destinations we’ve visited in person. Integrity and trust demand we are frank and honest in our views. Third party relationships will be transparently disclosed.
