The Northwest Passage runs across the top of the world, and is only passable in Summer. The effects of global warming mean it’s more frequently possible to transit this sea passage from the Atlantic to the Pacific ocean. It’s on our wishlist to travel through this far north seaway.
Here at TravelSampler.world we are fascinated by the Panama Canal – what an extraordinary engineering feat! The opening of the canal had a global impact, reducing shipping times and enabling safe passage of ships from the Caribbean to the Pacific. Definitely something we need to see.
